1. Policy Statement

Simplicity Tours & Travels is committed to providing safe, healthy, and secure travel experiences for our clients, employees, partners, and the communities we operate in. We recognize that health and safety are essential to delivering quality tourism services and ensuring enjoyable, stress-free journeys.

Our goal is to minimize risks, prevent accidents and illnesses, and comply with all applicable health and safety laws and tourism regulations in Uganda and internationally.


2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees and tour guides

  • Clients and visitors

  • Drivers, partners, and service providers

  • All tour activities, transport, accommodation, and office operations


3. Responsibilities

Management

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Provide adequate resources, training, and safety equipment

  • Regularly review and update safety procedures

Employees & Tour Guides

  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

  • Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately

  • Act responsibly to protect clients and themselves

Clients

  • Follow safety instructions provided by guides and staff

  • Disclose relevant medical conditions before travel

  • Respect local laws, cultures, and safety regulations


4. Travel & Tour Safety

  • All tours are planned with safety as a priority

  • Vehicles used are well-maintained, insured, and driven by qualified drivers

  • Guides are trained in first aid and emergency response

  • Risk assessments are conducted for safari, adventure, and outdoor activities


5. Health & Medical Preparedness

  • Clients are advised to carry necessary medications and medical insurance

  • Emergency contacts and nearest medical facilities are identified for each tour

  • Basic first-aid kits are available during tours

  • Clients are informed about required vaccinations and health precautions


6. Emergency Management

In case of emergencies such as accidents, illness, or natural events:

  • Immediate assistance will be provided

  • Emergency services and medical facilities will be contacted promptly

  • Clients’ families or emergency contacts will be informed where necessary


7. Hygiene & Disease Prevention

  • High standards of hygiene are maintained in offices, vehicles, and during tours

  • Staff are encouraged to practice good personal hygiene

  • Health guidelines issued by relevant authorities (e.g. Ministry of Health, WHO) are followed


8. Environmental & Community Safety

  • We promote responsible tourism and environmental conservation

  • Wildlife safety guidelines are strictly observed during safaris

  • Local communities are respected and protected from harm
